My Movie Review of Listen to Your Heart:
This movie was a wonderful romantic drama! You really take a chance when you watch a movie that has a NR (Not Rated), rating. However I was pleasantly surprise that the writer (Kent Moran) found a way to tell the story without having all the Hollywood "gotchas"! You know the politically correct or gender friendly lines that usually turn a good movie into a bad experience. I had never heard . . .
of Alexia Rasmussen (Ariana) or Kent Moran (Danny), two of the main actors in this movie. However the chemistry they seemed to have on the screen made their acting seem effortless.
Danny (Kent Moran) is a struggling musician! He works in a local restaurant where he has access to a piano so he can play and write his music. Danny saves his money so that he can buy a piece of equipment that will help launch him into his music career. While working at the restaurant Ariana (Alexia Rasmussen) and her Mother (Cybill Shepherd) come in to have dinner. Danny is star struck by Ariana's beauty. Will Danny, let the fact that Ariana is deaf, determine the potential of their relationship?
The two set out together on a journey to discover they must listen to their own heart's. They will face many challenges! But will they let these challenges stop them from being together and what they ultimately desire? Follow the love story of Danny & Ariana, and of course just like any love story, you'll need a full box of tissues at hand.

Note: You may wonder what the deal is on my movie reviews. Well glad that you asked. I love to watch movies! I am forever in search of good story that doesn't cross the line when it comes to my faith as a follower of Jesus Christ. I love to be entertained by a good movie but I have found that the ratings are really pushing the envelop lately in what they think PG & PG 13 is. I think it is possible to tell a good story without using a lot of curse words, violence or exposing body parts on the screen. Now that to me is a true challenge! Is Hollywood listening? I hope so!
