“Deep hurt can happen to upright, blameless people; it is not always deserved or earned”!

Where Can You Turn for Hope
When the Hurt Runs Deep?

At some point in life, every one of us will face the dark pain of heartache and despair, a hurt that pierces so deep we’re left gasping with questions:

Why me? Why now?

What have I done to deserve this?

Will the pain ever go away?

How can God just stand by and let this happen?

What do I have left to hope for?

Writing from insights she has gained, not only through her own valleys of deep hurt but also from years of study and counseling others through their pain, Kay Arthur points the way toward genuine healing. With candor, grace, and vulnerability, she invites you to join her on a journey toward wholeness as you exchange your fears and frustrations, hurts and disappointments for a hope that will never disappoint. Overview: We have all experienced the heartache of devastating disappointments, crushed dreams and painful emotional blows! Kay Arthur gives the reader insightful wisdom into how to overcome and be healed from a hurt that cuts deep into the heart. Kay Shares with her reader’s real life situations of Christians and non-Christians, who have walked through painful times in their lives. She explains how God’s divine healing and forgiveness sets a heart free from a painful past. She explains that your past does not determine your future!

My thoughts & comments: Kay Arthur gives you sound biblical advice and doesn’t candy coat the message. She is a gifted bible teacher with a world renowned ministry. For all those that are looking for healing & answers to a hurt that runs deep, this book is filled with healing for the hurting and hope for the hopeless. This book can also be used as a small group bible study. It contains a study guide located in the back of the book. It includes questions & answers that will help the reader heal and be made whole and move forward. Kay makes this statement in her book. “Nothing that has ever happened to you has escaped God’s notice. You can trust that He will bring to account everyone who has hurt you, in His time and in His way”!

I really enjoyed this book because it spoke of how God can heal any hurt no matter how painful or  how deep that hurt runs.
